A copper alloy Roman coin; a nummus of Magnentius (350 - 353), Second Series, Felicitas Reipublicae type. The coin was minted in Arles in 350 - 351AD. It has a diameter of 23mm and is 2mm thick. It weighs 4.7g. For references see number 136 in Volume VIII of Roman Imperial Coinage. The coin is corroded, but hardly worn and is in fine to very fine condition.

A second example apparently with the same obverse die has been noted in a solidus and siliqua hoard from Norfolk, see NMS-102704.
