A complete silver siliqua of Constantius II (AD 323-361), dating c. 360-361 AD. Reece period 18, mint of Lugdunum. Reverse; VOTIS XXX MVLTIS XXXX in four lines within laurel wreath. RIC vol. VIII, p. 193, no. 216. The coin is preserved in good condition, though one side is partially bent outwards due to post-depositional damage. A striking crack is visible at 7 o'clock on the obverse face.

A pierced silver Roman siliqua of Constantius II (AD 323-361) dating to the period c.AD 360-361 (Reece Period 18). The reverse type depicts a wreath containing a legend over four lines reading VOTIS/XXX/MVLTIS/XXXX. Mint of Lyon. This coin is probably an irregular issue and has a large and probably deliberate central rectangular piercing. Cf. RIC p. 193 no. 216 for the prototype; Hoxne nos. 760, 762 for similar irregular siliquae.
