A fragment from a 4th-century silver Roman siliqua of Julian (as Augustus), votive wreath reverse, either Lyon or Arles mint (360-363 AD; Reece issue period 18). The fragment shows signs of deliberate cutting, and approximates to around a quarter of the original coin, perhaps slightly less. Although a cut fragment, the coin is not clipped at the edge.

Mint of Siscia. RIC VIII, p. 364, cf. no. 199. The mintmark is ΔSIS symbol, but the symbol is unclear and could be for Delta or Epsilon officinae. The flan has not been fully trimmed to the border.
