It measures 18.4mm in diameter, 1mm thick and weighs 1.6g. It is possible that the coin is clipped, but the battered state of the coin makes it difficult to be certain.

An incomplete silver siliqua of Julian, AD 355-363. This coin is a contemporary copy*, made using high quality silver. The obverse, which bears the legend 'D N IVLIAN-VS [P F AVG]', appears to have been copied from a coin of Arles (cf. RIC no. 292); the VOTIS V MVLTIS X reverse, however, has a Lyon mintmark and is a copy of RIC nos. 218-219. Although generally well executed, the poor formation of some of the letters adds weight to the belief that this is a forgery. Both the Lyons and Arles coins date from AD 360-363.
