A silver siliqua of Julian II as Augustus (AD 360-3) (Reece Period 18); VOTIS V MVLTIS X in wreath. This coin appears to be regular, comparing favourably with a coin from the Bromham Hoard in the British Museum (1981 0910 39) which is of similar style with the same dotted design of the lower wreath. The lettering on the Bromham coin is not very neat and the F is not well cut. The legend on this coin - D N IVLIAN-VS P L AVG - has an L for an F, which is probably the result of a die-cutter's error. RIC VIII, p. 227, cf no. 295. Diameter: 17mm; thickness: 1.5mm. Weight: 2.08g.
