A Roman (AD 351-2) copper alloy nummus of Magnentius (AD 350-53) measuring 21mm. The nummus has some slight wear.
Obverse: Bare head draped and cuirassed. Bust facing right, 'A' behind head + D N MAGNEN TIVS P F AVG.
Reverse: Two Victories holding a shield inscribed VOT / V / MVLT / X no supporting column + VICTORIAE [DD NN AVG ET CAE] -/-//AMB branch.

A worn and corroded pierced copper-alloy 4th-century Roman nummus probably of Magnentius, 'VICTORIA E DD NN AVG ET CAE' reverse, Amiens mint (350-353 AD, Reece Issue Period 18). cf. RIC VIII, p. 122, no. 5. LRBC p. 45 no, 5. The nail is possibly 10mm in length.

A copper alloy nummus of Magnentius (AD 350-3), dating to the period AD 350 - 351 (Reece Period 18). GLORIA ROMANORVM reverse type depicting a soldier on horseback riding down a barbarian right. Mint of Amiens. RIC VIII, p. 122, cf. no. 4. There appears to be a branch after the ANB mintmark. The reverse style with apparently a standing barbarian is slightly unusual, but the coin appears official.
