A silver Roman coin; a Siliqua of Constantius II (323 – 361 AD), VOTIS XXX MVLTIS XXXX type, Arles, 355-61. RIC VIII 261/291. It is in fine condition and has a diameter of 16.5mm and is 1.6mm thick. It weighs 1.7g. For reference see Roman Imperial Coinage Volume VIII, page 385 number 15 or 19. The coin is possibly clipped.

A high quality contemporary copy of a late Roman copper alloy nummus of Constantius II, mint of Arles. The coin is copying RIC VIII, p219, no. 211/2, however the diademed crown has no rosettes, and the reverse is slightly blundered, though still a good attempt at a copy.
