The coin was struck in copper alloy and the surface now has a dull brown patina with small patches of light green corrosion. The coin measures 26.11mm in diameter and is 2.93mm thick.

The coin has a large central circular hole, likely the result of being deliberately pierced by a nail or similar object in antiquity and perhaps to modify its function. The coin is 26.93mm in diameter, 2.07mm in thickness and weighs 6.01g.
