A copper alloy Roman nummus of Galerius dating c. AD 293 - 311. Uncertain reverse type and mint. 24mm in diameter, pierced, exceedingly worn, corroded and one third broken away. This coin appears to have been worn as a pendant for some considerable time, perhaps in the Anglo-Saxon period.
