A very worn and corroded 4th-century copper-alloy Roman nummus of a Tetrarchic emperor, probably 'GENIO POP ROM', uncertain mint (307-318 AD; Reece issue period 17). This flan is an odd teardrop shape, indicating part of the coin has broken off. However, the edge is worn and abraded, suggesting the break is very old.

This coin has been pierced, which emerges at 3 o'clock on both faces; this is possibly a later (early-medieval) re-use. The piercing obscures the obverse legend which may read '...P F AVG', which is not recorded for this issue.
