RIC VI Rome 112a; Sear 14085. This is an usual coin to have been found in Britain and it may not be an ancient loss (Dr Philippa Walton, pers. comm.). The patina / condition of the coin supports this theory however the location of the find is close to a Roman road and to Roman sites of this date.
