A worn, Roman copper alloy nummus of Constantine the Great (AD 306-337). The obverse features a large, right-facing,laureate-headed bust, while the reverse features Sol standing left with a globe(type: SOLI INVICTO COMITI). Inscriptions and mintmark unclear. Fields and exergue blank.
This type dates from early in Constantine's reign (between AD 307 and 318).

Roman Imperial Coinage does not list an example where this obverse legend and mintmark appear on the same coin and so precise dating is therefore not possible. It measures 22.1mm in diameter, 1.2mm thick and weighs 2.83g.
