A Roman copper alloy cast copy of a nummus of Constantine I (AD 306-337), dating to c. AD 307-310 (Reece Period 15). Reverse: MARTI PATRI PROPVG, Mars advancing right with spear and shield. Prototype from mint of London. This coin has been pierced. The piercing is circular and is situated in the legend behind the emperor's bust (diameter c.0.7mm). For prototype, cf.
