A worn 4th-century copper-alloy Roman nummus of Constantine I, 'SOLI INVICTO COMITI' reverse, minted in London (316-317 AD; Reece issue period 15, R.I.C. 88). This coin has been pierced, which emerges at 3 o'clock on both faces; this is possibly a later (early-medieval) re-use. The piercing obscures the obverse legend which may read '...P F AVG', which is not recorded for this issue.
