Struck for Julius Caesar during his third dictatorship, probably during his Spanish campaign of 46-45 BC. The coin is in very good condition. The obverse depicts Venus facing right, wearing a diadem with Cupid behind. The reverse depicts a trophy with oval shield and carnyx in each hand with a female captive to the left and a bearded…
