A tin halfpenny of William III and Mary II (1688-1694). The coin is incomplete around the edges and is very worn, especially on the obverse as the two heads are very hard to see (thickness: 2.5mm; diameter: 27mm; weight: 9.45g). After 1694, tin halfpennies and farthings were replaced by copper coins. Reference: 'Coins of England and the United Kingdom', Seaby, 30th edition, 1995, pages 231-4.

Tin farthing of Charles II with copper plug in the centre. 1684-5. Nothing can be seen of the obverse legend, but the bust facing left can just be made out. It would have read CAROLVS A CAROLO. Nothing can be seen on the reverse, but it would have showed Britannia seated and read BRITANNIA with the date in the exergue. Part of the edge is damaged. Diameter 23.1mm, weight 4.53g.

Post medieval tin halfpenny of James II (1685-88). The obverse, reverse and date are illegible; 1685-1687. The edges are very rough with old breaks, showing the layered, flaky nature of the metals structure. There is a square 3mm squared indentation in the centre either side of the disc holding the copper plug. These coins are usually found in very poor condition due to tins tendancy to corrode, accelerated by it's reaction with the copper plug.
