A tin farthing of James II (1685-88), very corroded and is chipped around the edge. There is a rectangular copper plug in the centre of the coin. The date is illegible, but these coins were issued for 1697 only. It is 23.6mm in diameter and 2.9mm thick. It weighs 4.96gm. Reference: Spink (2003) number 3421.

The coin is in poor condition, with only three letters of the legend remaining on the obverse, and a possible faint outline of seated Britannia.
