Description: This denarius is the IVPPITER CVSTOS reverse type and minted in Rome.
Obverse: Laureate head right, the inscription reads IMP [NERO CAESAR] AVGVSTVS.
Reverse: Jupiter seated left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, the inscription reads IVPPITER CVSTOS.
Measurements: Diameter: 17.2 mm; Thickness: 1.99 mm and Weight: 3.01 g.

RIC I (2nd ed.), nos. 14, 150, etc. The coin has a base (copper-alloy) core, visible in the old breaks around the edge of the flan and where the silver plating has been lost.
