The edges of the coin are damaged, revealing the copper alloy core under the silver plating.

A fragment of a silver plated copper alloy coin, probably a contemporary copy of either a denarius or siliqua of the Roman period, AD 43 - 410, of unknown ruler. The flan is damaged with almost the entire periphery missing, and is corroded exposing the copper alloy core with portions of the silver plating visible on both the obverse and reverse sides.
