A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Marcus Aurelius (AD 161-180), dating from AD 161 - 162 (Reece period 8). CONCORD AVG TR P XVI COS III reverse depicting Concordia, seated left, holding patera in extended right hand and resting left elbow on a small statue of Spes, resting on the top of a cornucopia. Mint of Rome. Compare RIC III Marcus Aurelius 37 (http://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.3.m_aur.37). There is a small edge chip at 3 o'clock on the obverse. The coin is 18.4mm in diameter, 2.3mm thick and weighs 2.25g.
