A silver coin dating from the Roman period: a denarius of Vitellius (AD 69), Reece Period 3, probably VICTORIA AVGVSTI reverse, Victory, draped, advancing left holding shield inscribed S P /Q R, RIC I, no. 62, mint of Gaul/Lugdunum. The coin has a diameter of 18.1mm, a thickness of 1.6mm and weighs 2.9g. Compare http://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.1(2).vit.62.
