A silver plated copper alloy Roman coin; a contemporary copy of a denarius of Vespasian, minted in Rome in 70AD. The coin has been fairly chipped on the obverse. The reverse depicts Pax seated. Measures 17.7mm diameter x 2.7mm, weighing 2.51g. See Sear vol.1, 2285.

A copper alloy and possibly silvered Roman coin which is totally illegible. It has rounded edges and may be a contemporary copy of a denarius. It is 17.86mm in diameter and 1.72mm thick. It weighs 3.02g. The coin was found in the same hole as a Valentianic nummus.

An incomplete copper alloy silver plated coin, probably a plated copy of a silver roman denarius dating from AD 43 - 410. There is possible a man on horseback on the reverse. The flan is damaged with a portion missing and much of the plating is missing. Only a few letters of the legends survive: (TPO) on one side and PE on the other. The bust is not visible. The coin is 16.2mm diameter, 1.3mm thick and 0.89g.

A fragment of a silver plated copper alloy coin, probably a contemporary copy of either a denarius or siliqua of the Roman period, AD 43 - 410, of unknown ruler. The flan is damaged with almost the entire periphery missing, and is corroded exposing the copper alloy core with portions of the silver plating visible on both the obverse and reverse sides. A Roman coin; a contemporary copy of a silver denarius (copper alloy plated with silver) copying a coin of Caracalla (AD 198 - 217), dating from AD 201 (Reece Period 10). The reverse reads RECTOR ORBIS and depicts Caracalla naked, facing forward, head left, holding globe and resting on a spear. Mint of Rome. Mint of Rome. RIC IV Septimius Severus 74. See http://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.4.ss.74 Measurements are; length 16.5mm, width 14.2mm, thickness 2.2mm and weight 1.52g. The edges of the coin are damaged, revealing the copper alloy core under the silver plating.
