There is a small chip from the flan at 11 o'clock on the obverse. It is 19.6mm in diameter and 1.9mm thick. It weighs 1.92gm. The coin is a copy of a denarius of Severus Alexander dating from AD 230, showing Sol on the reverse. Cf Sear Volume II number 7910. Compare also to YORYM-3E3D32. The coin seems a little odd, and it is unusually shiny, so it is possible that it is a modern forgery.

A silver Roman denarius of Titus (AD 79-81) as caesar under Vespasian, dating to the period c.AD 79 (Reece period 4). TR POT VIII COS VII reverse type depictign Venus standing left leaning on column holding helmet and spear. Mint of Rome. RIC II (2nd ed.), p. 137, no. 1078. The coin is 16.1mm in diameter and 2.6mm thick. It weighs 3.06gm.
