The reverse reads TR POT XV COS III, and depicts Pietas standing between two children, facing left and holding two more children in her arms. Rome mint. For reference, see Sear, volume 2, number 4799. It is 17.1mm in diameter and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.09gm.

A Roman silver denarius coin of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar under Antoninus Pius (139 - 161). A section of the flan has broken off between 1 o'clock and 5 o'clock on the obverse. The silver has tarnished and acquired a dark purplish patina. The coin is 18.5mm long, 15.7mm wide and 2.5mm thick. It weighs 2.23gm.
