Reverse: IVDAEA, captive or Judaea, facing right, seated beneath a trophy of arms. Mint of Rome. Compare LON-FE5FF8 and WREX-CBF245 which cites RIC II (2nd ed), p. 58, no. 2. This commemorates the initial victory over the Jewish rebels in Judaea. Compare Sear Volume 1, number 2296 on page 436. The coin is 18.5mm diameter, 2.3mm thick and 2.3g.

Compare for example, FASAM-5B929C which cites RIC II (2nd ed), p. 62, nos. 42-3 though this coin cannot be positively identified to a single RIC number. The coin is 16.1mm diameter, 2.2mm thick and 1.68g. There is a chip missing from the edge and the obverse legend is illegible.

A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Titus as Caesar under Vespasian, dating from AD 74 (Reece period 4), reverse legend PONTIF TR P COS III [retrograde], the reverse depicting a winged caduceus. Rome mint. The coin is similar to Sear, volume 1, number 2445; see RIC Volume II 173a on page 35. The coin is damaged, having a chip from the edge between 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock on the obverse. The silver has also begun to separate into layers. The remaining portion is 17.9mm in diameter and 2.7mm thick. It weighs 2.32gm.

There is a an unusual lump of metal on Vespasian's jawline; a projecting rounded pellet.
