TELLVS STABIL, Tellus standing left holding plough with right hand and short rake in left hand. To right two stalks of grain. Compare RIC II, p. 372, no. 276. There is a chip missing from the edge at 8 o'clock on the obverse. The coin is 16.8mm in diameter and 2.2mm thick. It weighs 2.62gm. Compare also Sear Volume II, number 3543 on page 151.

A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Severus Alexander dating from AD 222 - 235 (Reece period 11), the reverse legend probably AEQVITAS AVG, the reverse probably depicting Aequitas, standing left, holding a cornucopia and scales. Corrosion concretion obscures some detail, but compare Sear Volume II (2002) number 7856 on page 643. The coin is struck on an oval flan and is 18.3mm long, 15.8mm wide and 2.25mm thick. It weighs 1.79gm.
