The reverse depicts Roma seated on a cuirass, holding victory in her right hand and a spear in her left; on the ground behind, a shield. Rome mint. See RIC 2, number 77(c). The coin is 18mm in diameter and 2.1mm thick. It weighs 2.84gm.

There is a an unusual lump of metal on Vespasian's jawline; a projecting rounded pellet.
