Reverse: IVDAEA, captive or Judaea, facing right, seated beneath a trophy of arms. Mint of Rome. Compare LON-FE5FF8 and WREX-CBF245 which cites RIC II (2nd ed), p. 58, no. 2. This commemorates the initial victory over the Jewish rebels in Judaea. Compare Sear Volume 1, number 2296 on page 436. The coin is 18.5mm diameter, 2.3mm thick and 2.3g.

Circumstance of Discovery On 9th September 2008 Louise Snow of Archaeological Services, deposited at the Oriental Museum, University of Durham, a site archive of 41 coins which had been recovered by archaeologists during the course of excavations conducted at Bramham, West Yorkshire (site code BTW 07).
