The closest published parallel for this coin is RIC Vol II, p. 169, no. 134 (Minerva standing left, holding spear - IMP XVII COS XIIII CENS P P P); however, the legend on the coin recorded here differs from that listed in RIC (see coin description). The surfaces are slightly worn and corroded. It measures 19mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 3.01g.

A contemporary forgery of a silver Denarius of Domitian. The coin has a copper-alloy core and is sliver plated. Only two thirds of the original coin remain. No exact match could be found and it seems likely that the reverse image was copied from an earlier coin of Titus (RIC no.5). It measures 16.4mm in diameter by 2.2mm thick and weighs 2.03g.
