A silver Roman denarius of Trajan (AD 98-117), possibly a plated copy, dating to the period c. AD 103-111 (Reece period 5). COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC, DAC CAP (in exergue) reverse type depicting a Dacian seated left on a pile of arms. Mint of Rome. cf. RIC II, p. 251, no. 98. The coin has extensive corrosion and flaking to both faces, which might indicate this is possibly a contemporary plated copy.
