Roman silver denarius of Julia Domna, dating to AD196-211 (Reece Period 10), PIETAS PVBLICA, Pietas standing by altar raising both hands. Probably Mint of Rome. RIC IV,pt 1, p. 171, cf. no. 574. Without an image it is not possible to determine whether this is a coin struck at Rome or an Eastern Mint (RIC 642), but Rome is much more common.

An incomplete silver Denarius of the Severan dynasty, probably of Julia Domna suggested date AD 193-222. Reece Period 10. The coin has an irregular flan and is slightly concave-convex, no details can be seen on either side.
Comments by Richard Abdy (Coins and Medals Dept. British Museum) suggest that the coin may have been partially melted or that the coin is a miss-cast copy of a Severn denarius.
Diameter: 8.43mm, Thickness: 2.97mm, Weight: 0.4g.

The coin appears to be possibly a debased silver with a shiny silver surface. The coin is heavily abraded, which may account for for the debased appearence.

A contemporary copy of a silver denarius of Julia Domna, struck under Septimus Severus c. 193 - 211 AD (Reece Period 10). The Obverses has the portrait head right and the reverse shows Cybele seated flanked by lions. The coin has a copper alloy core with a white metal coating that has fragmented, leaving the corroded CA core visible.

A complete debased silver denarius of Julia Domna, dating to AD 196-211 (Reece Period 10), Reverse; LAETITIA, Laetitia standing left holding wreath in right hand and leaning on rudder with left hand. Mint of Rome. RIC vol. IV (part I), p. 168, cf. no. 561. The denarius is extremely worn with patches of greenish corrosion relating to debasement, though enough detail survives to make a reasonably confident identification.
