A plated contemporary copy of a silver denarius of Julia Domna dating to the period AD 196 to 211 (Reece period 10). PIETAS PVBLICA reverse type (with barbarous legend reading PIETAS POLICA) depicting Pietas standing front. As Mint of Rome. As RIC IV, p. 170, no. 574. There is a possible semi-circular cut-out at 9 o'clock on the obverse.
