A Roman silver coin; a denarius of Julia Domna under Septimius Severus dating from AD 196 - 211 (Reece Period 10), IVNO REGINA reverse type depicting Juno left with peacock at feet. Mint of Rome or Laodicea. See RIC IVa, 560 or 640. Compare also LEIC-459A35 and SF-43BB45, and Sear Volume II number 6586. The coin is 17.3mm diameter, 2.52mm thick and 2.55g.

A silver Roman coin; a denarius of Julia Domna under Septimius Severus (194 - 211 AD), Mater Deum type. See Sear number 6593 which was minted in 198 AD. The coin is silver, but it has copper corrosion onn the surface above the silver, perhaps suggesting proximity to copper alloy coins or objects at some point.
