An irregular Roman coin; a copper-alloy plated denarius copying a coin of Julia Domna dating from AD 193 - 217, probably AD 193 - 196 (Reece Period 10). Uncertain reverse depicting a standing figure. Mint uncertain. The coin is 18.8mm in diameter, 1.6mm thick and weighs 1.63g.

A silver Roman coin; a denarius of Julia Domna under Septimius Severus (AD 193 - 217) dating from AD 203 (Reece Period 10). PIETAS PVBLICA reverse type depicting Pietas standing left raising both hands in invocation with altar at her feet. Mint of Rome. See Sear Volume 2, number 6601 on page 494 which cites RIC 574. The coin is 19.1mm diameter, 2.6mm thick and 3.18g. There are cracks in the edge of the flan.
