A Roman silver denarius of Galba dating to AD 68 (Reece period 3). LIBERTAS RESTITVTA depicting female figure, draped, standing left pouring from oenochoe in right hand, holding thyrsus in left. Tarraco mint. RIC vol. 1 no. 9 (pp. 233).
Overall dimensions: 17.88mm in diameter, 2.16mm in thickness and 3.22g in weight.

Roman silver coin; a plated denarius of the Civil Wars period, AD 68-9 (Reece Period 3), prototype from a Spanish mint and with the bust of probably Genius on the obverse, a cornucopia behind the bust. There is no legend visible on the obverse but it originally read GENIO PR. The reverse depicts Mars, naked except for a helmet right, holding javelin and a round shield, with MARTI VLTORI. Contemporary copy of RIC Vol. I, p. 204, No. 17.
