An incomplete Roman silver denarius, probably of Augustus (27 BC-AD 14) dating to the period 18 - 17 BC (Reece Period 1). Reverse depicts a Triumphal arch surmounted by a quadriga. Possibly mint of Colonia Patricia. cf. RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 50; nos. 134A-137. The coin is incomplete due to old breaks, with less than 50% of the coin remaining.

A silver or perhaps silver plated coin of a silver denarius of Augustus dating to the period 18 BC to 16 BC (Reece Period 1). CAESARI AVGVSTO or SPQR reverse type depicting a triumphal quadriga r. surmounted by four miniature galloping horses. Spanish mint of Colonia Patricia. RIC I (rev.ed.), p.48, no.96 or 108a.
It is a brockage with the quadriga design being incuse on one side, probably due to another coin being stuck in the die during striking.

This coin is possibly a contemporary copy due to the condition of the silver
