A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Severus Alexander dating from AD 222 - 235 (Reece period 11), the reverse legend probably AEQVITAS AVG, the reverse probably depicting Aequitas, standing left, holding a cornucopia and scales. Corrosion concretion obscures some detail, but compare Sear Volume II (2002) number 7856 on page 643.
The coin is struck on an oval flan and is 18.3mm long, 15.8mm wide and 2.25mm thick. It weighs 1.79gm.
