A worn, silver Roman denarius of Emperess Faustina II, The Younger (r.AD 161-175); issued under Marcus Aurelius (r.AD 161-180); dating to AD 161-175, (Reece Period 8). Obverse: FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, bust right with head bare, hair waived. Reverse: VESTA, veiled, seated left, holding Palladium and sceptre. RIC Vol III, pg, 272 no: 737. The coin has a deep v- shaped knick on the outer edge of the flan before AVGUSTA. Measurements: 17mm in diameter, 2mm thick and 2.3g in weight.
