A complete silver Denarius of Augustus (27 BC - AD 14), dating to the period 2 BC - AD 4 (Reece period 1). Reverse type C L CAESARES (in exergue), AVGVSTI F COS DESIG PRINC IVVENT depicting Gaius and Lucius Caesar standing holding shields, with spears behind; above, simpulum and lituus. Lugdunum (Lyon) mint.

An incomplete base silver Radiate of Gallienus (AD 253-268), joint reign with Valerian, dating to the period AD 253-260 (Reece period 12). Reverse type GERMANICVS MAX V, depicting a trophy of arms a bound and seated captive to each side. Mint of Gaul.
The coin is missing portions of its outer flan between 7-9 O'clock

Roman silver Denarius of Galba. Coins of Galba are rare as he only ruled briefly during AD 68 and they rarely make it as far as Britain. Furthermore, this example has the obverse inscription SER GALBA IMPERATOR (rather than IMP) which is not recorded for this type in the British Museum Catalouge or Roman Imperial Coinage.
