Probably VENVS CAELESTIS reverse type depicting Venus standing left holding apple and vertical sceptre, star in left field(?). Mint of Rome. cf. RIC IV.2, p. 48, no. 241 Thickness: 1.7 mm Weight: 2.2 g Diameter: 18.4 mm A few bubbles of corrosion are visible on the surface, indicating this may be either a base or potentially a plated denarius.
