PONTIF MAXIM reverse type depicting the Emperor seated right holding branch and vertical sceptre. Prototype of the mint of Rome. cf. RIC II (2nd ed.), p. 98, no. 544 passim for the reverse prototype. This reverse type is struck for both Vespasian and Titus, the obverse probably from a later issue of Vespasian.

A silver plated contemporary copy of a denarius of Nero (AD 54-68), dating to AD 54 (Reece Period 3). Wreath reverse type. Copying mint of Rome. The reverse is not the correct type for this coin which should be an oak leaf wreath enclosing the letters EXSC, with an inscription around the outside. This coin instead has a wreath enclosing a letter A[...] with a ring of pellets around the outside and no outer inscription. It is similar to some reverses of Claudius.

VENVS CAELESTIS type, depicting Venus seated left, holding a sceptre and an apple, with a child at her feet. Mint of Rome. RIC IV.2, p. 48, no. 243. The coin has broken between 12 and 6 o'clock on the obverse. It is covered in patches of green and orange corrosion product, suggesting that the coin was made from an alloy of copper alloy and iron. Diameter: 17.6mm; Thickness: 1.7mm; Weight: 1.40g.
