A, possibly pierced, incomplete silver-plated copper-alloy core of a contemporary copy of a denarius of Caracalla, AD196-217 (with a reverse of Septimius Severus), dating to c. AD 201-210 (Reece period 10). Probably based on coins from the mint of Rome.
