A base silver denarius of Elagabalus c. 218 - 222 AD. Reece Period 10. The obverse has the laureate draped bust right and the reverse has a standing figure left, with spear. The coin has a silver finish but with clear signs of a copper alloy core. The rim is damage with two small 'notches'.
