A worn silver Roman denarius probably of Septimius Severus (AD 193-211), possibly dating to the period c.AD 193-197 (Reece period 10). (F)OR(T)[...] reverse type depicting Fortuna standing left holding rudder and cornucopiae. Probably an Eastern Mint coin (Emesa or Laodicea ad Mare). cf. RIC IV.1 no. 376ff for the possible reverse type.

A silver Roman denairus of Septimius Severus, dating to AD 202 (Reece Period 10). The coin is in very good condition and is a rare issue; VOTIS DECENNALIBVS reverse type, issued to commemorate the emperor taking decennalian vows. Mint of Laodicea (Turkey). RIC IV 519; BMCRE 680; RSC 796.
