A fragment of a silver denarius of Vespasian c. 69 - 79 AD. The obverse with the laureate head right, reverse unclear with a letter 'O'. The coin is incomplete, missing around 25% of the flan. The surface is disrupted with a grey to purpling patina, as if having been in a fire.
Dimensions. Diameter 16.05mm and 2.37 thick, it weighs 1.4gm.

The coin has a fragmented blacked surface with silver showing through.
The coin is 17.73mm in diameter, 1.86mm thick, weighing 2.5g.
