A silver plated contemporary copy of a denarius of Domitian (AD 81-96) striking under Vespasian muled with a reverse type of Titus (AD 79-81), probably dating to the period AD 79-80 or later (Reece period 4). TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P reverse type depicting a Draped seat with semi-circular frame above, with three crescents. The coin has a copper-alloy core visible in several places due to corrosion of the plated silver surfaces.
