On the obverse depicts the king seated on a throne holding an orb and sceptre, with the legend, HENRIC 8 D G AGL FRANC X HIB REX. The reverse has a royal shield with a lion and dragon supporter and the legend IHS AVTEM TRANSIENS PER MEDIV ILLOR IBAT.
