A worn and slightly clipped silver Post-Medieval halfgroat of James I (AD 1603 - 1625), dating to 1604 - 5. Description: This is a halfgroat of the Second Coinage with a Rose initial mark. Obverse: Crowned rose, the inscription reads I D G ROSA SINE SPINA. Reverse: Crowned thistle, the inscription reads TVEATVR [VNITA DE]VS Measurements: Diameter: 16.6 mm and Weight: 0.93 g.
