A damaged Post Medieval Scottish-issued silver twenty pence coin of Charles I, dating from AD 1637-1642. Third Coinage, Falconer's first issue with F. Minted by John Falconer, son-in-law to Nicholas Briot, who eventually succeeded him in AD 1646 (Spink 2003, p. 78). Cf. Spink 2003, 'Coins of Scotland, Ireland and the Islands', p. 84, no. 5588A. This coin has suffered damage from nearly 4 o'clock to 6 o'clock position from the obverse; the break in the coin still holds the bent and broken portion intact and folded onto the reverse, making the reading of both legends difficult.
