A heavily clipped penny of Charles I (1625-1649 AD). There are severe circumferential losses to this coin. Initial Mark probably two pellets; probably North Group E. The obverse has an inner circle and depicts a bearded bust, with heavy mustache with double-arched crown facing left and the denomination mark 'I' behind head right; the obverse legend reads: CAROL[VS] [...] [RE]X.
